Stamplorations - Birthday Blog Hop & Linky Party

Hi there ~ Today is a special day for Stamplorations...they are celebrating their 2nd birthday, and what's a birthday without a Blog Hop, a Linky Party and Prizes, right?

Three new party-themed stamp sets are being showcased, and I am the lucky owner of one of these sets ~ "Party Mates" by Dee's Artsy Impressions! Deepti has really out-done herself with this set...so many fun party images, just waiting to be colored! Here is my first card:

I've been really inspired by all of the cards Kathy has created during her 30 day Color Challenge, and when I saw This Card, I thought it would be fun to CASE her design with Deepti's new stamp set. I added a generous coat of Wink of Stella to the frosting on the cupcakes and to the ribbon and bow on the gift. The sentiment is from PTI.

I love this set so much, that I decided to create another card:

More Copic coloring with these fun images, and a touch of Bitty Dot Ribbon (which I rarely use on my projects). The Impression Plate and sentiment are from PTI.

Since I've done a lot of coloring for this post, I would like to link my cards up to Kathy's 30 Color Challenge, as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #150 - Photo Inspiration

Hi everyone ~ This is my 2nd post today...if you're looking for my Guest Designer post for CASology, please go HERE.

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps, and we have this fabulous photo to inspire you! Our sponsor for this week's challenge is Sweet Shop Stamps, and they are offering 4 digi's to the winner! Here is my card:

I knew I wanted to create a card using the pretty shade of green in the photo, but my water coloring skills are not that great...so, I used Cracked Pistachio distress ink, making it lighter as I went along to create an ombre effect. My card design was inspired by Anita's Post HERE, while she was "Leading Lady" for the Winnie & Walter Blog. In the Act 2 section of her post, she created 3 cards white on white with a touch of color...Divine!!! So, I used the PTI Hugs dies and a few gems for a little color.

I hope you'll check out the ATSM Challenge Blog this week and play along with us! Have a great week, and thanks so much for stopping by,

Guest Designer Post for CASology Challenge #152

Hi everyone,
After winning last week's challenge, I am very excited to be a Guest Designer this week at CASology! The theme is 'Nautical'...Here is my card:

Of course I couldn't wait to play with my new PTI stamps and dies from their latest release called 'Ahoy'! I created a mask with a circle die and inked the wave pattern, then sponged the sky with SSS Sea Glass ink. I wanted the rope to look more genuine, but thought it would be one too many colors, so I kept it white and die cut the anchor with silver cardstock. I added a few seagulls and this great sentiment (love the font), and that was it!

I would like to thank Joyce for selecting my card for the win, and Melissa and the CASology team for asking me to be the Guest Designer this week...I am truly honored!

I have another post going live later on this evening, so feel free to stop back and say hello :)
Have a great week ~

Addicted to CAS Challenge #66

Hi everyone ~
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS and this time our code word is 'Splash'! Rebecca is our Hostess and Bugaboo is sponsoring this challenge by offering seven digi images to the winner! Here is my take on the code word:

I stamped and die cut the boots, then added a coat of Glossy Accents to make them look wet. The puddle and splashes were cut with my Silhouette, and the die cut word 'You' is from SSS. Lastly, I added a little Wink of Stella clear pen to the splashes for some sparkle...and that was it!

We are very excited to have Flo as our Guest Designer this month, and we would love to have you stop by the Challenge Blog to see what Flo and my team mates have created for the code word ~

Have a great weekend,

Virginia's View Challenge #15 and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Hi everyone.
A quick post to share a card I created for Virginia's View Challenge ~ As I slide in at the last minute :) The theme for this June challenge is Ombre/Monochromatic, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for the theme Use Your Favorite Technique and/or Product (Ombre Technique and Distress Inks).
Here is my card:

I started by masking a section of the card and inked it with distress inks (Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed) and Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Soft Vanilla). I stacked the poppy die cuts and the word die cut to add dimension, then stamped the sentiment and added a few sequins...and that was it!
