Addicted to CAS Challenge - Distress

Hello again,
It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS challenge blog, and our code word is 'Distress'. Kylie is our hostess, and our sponsor for this challenge is Uniko Studios! The winner will receive a £15 E-Gift Certificate, so I hope you'll put on your thinking caps and join us this week. Also, we are thrilled to have Ellen as our guest designer sharing her beautiful CAS cards with us again this week.

Here is my card:

I found it challenging to incorporate distressing on my cards, so I thought it would be fun to grab my Tim Holtz distress inks to stamp my images, and colored them in using my water brush. I added some Wink of Stella for sparkle and die cut the front panel with Lil Inker's Stitched Rectangle Frame.

I hope you have a chance to stop by the Addicted to CAS blog and check out all of the inspiration from my team mates, and play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by,

CASology, Muse and a SSS/Lawn Fawn Flickr Co-Challenge

Hi everyone,
I have a few cards to share today...the first is for this week's challenge at CASology for the cue card 'Mini':

Talk about minimal! I've had these eyeglass dies in my stash for a while and haven't used them until now. So, I added pink vellum for a 'Rose colored glasses' effect and a computer generated sentiment using AR Bonnie for the font. The center square is 2x2 and the card size is 5.5 square (I have 6x6 envies). The only thing I added to this card was 2 tiny gems and a black mat...Done and dusted!

My second card is for this week's Muse challenge, and the Guest Muse for this week is my uber talented and sweet team mate from ATSM, Shona Chambers! Here is Shona's card:

And, here is my take on her inspiration card:

I used my new Altenew Painted Butterflies for the side panel, and stamped them in rainbow order with various inks, and the sentiment is from Mama Elephant, called Cross My Heart. I stayed true to Shona's CAS design and added three small sequins...and that was it!

My last project is for the current SSS/Lawn Fawn Flickr Co-Challenge, and the theme is “Get Crafty with Kraft”.

I had a lot of fun creating this project...I used my Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag die, the cute pup from SSS You are Pawesome stamp and die set and the heart balloon stencil, also from SSS. The challenge is being hosted by Barb (SSS) and Nancy (Lawn Fawn), and I have to say, I had a lot of fun pairing my goodies from both companies!

So, that's it for me...I hope everyone is having a great week! Thanks for stopping by,

A Card and a Tag

Hi everyone,
This week's Cue Card at CASology is Monochrome, and I just couldn't resist playing along.

So, I grabbed my new PTI In the Woods die and die cut it in light blue, and added a darker blue background. The sentiment is from an old Watzingmouse set, and I thought the font went well with the branches.

For the current Tag You're It Challenge, inspiration was provided by 'Amazing' Donna Mikasa with this beautiful card:

And here is the tag I created based on her inspiration:

I used my new Altenew Painted Butterflies stamp set with several different inks and the SSS 'You' die is stacked three times in black.

So, that's it for me. I hope everyone is staying warm ~ Thanks for stopping by,
