Playing with Feathers

Hi everyone ~
For a chance to win some Blog Candy, please be sure to leave a comment on THIS POST.

I have a post today on the a2zScrapbooking Supplies Blog featuring the Hero Arts Feathers Stamp Set.

For my first card, I inked up my new Feathers stamp set with two shades of pigment inks using the "Rock n’ Roll" technique. I embossed the sentiment with Pumice Stone Embossing Powder, and inked the Hero Arts Borders Stencil  to add a pop of color to the card. I also added a few of my DIY clear enamel dots (made with Perler Beads), and a thin strip of glitter cardstock.

For my 2nd card, I inked one of the smaller feathers in this stamp set with versamark and embossed them with white embossing powder, and inked the background with 5 different distress inks.

Well, that's it for me today. Don’t forget to link up your creation for the 'Stars and Stripes Linky Party' for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the A2Z Scrapbooking Store! And, anytime you're visiting the store, you are more than welcome to use Coupon Code BARB15 for 15% off your order of $25.00 or more (not including tax and shipping). Thanks so much for stopping by today ~

Beautiful cards, Barb! I've been looking for a smaller container of those beads so I can try making the enamel dots.

Two lovely cards - really fun how you changed things up between the two showcasing the feather's versatility.

Ooooh these are both stunning Barb! I don't have any feather stamps, because I have never quite known what to do with them, but your cards are very inspiring! You've done some serious gorgeousness with this feather! Love them both! ((Hugs))

I am one of the few who doesn't get the feather rage, but I have to say your two cards are fantastic, and you may be making me reconsider the feather thing!
