It's Written in the Stars

Hi everyone ~
Today is my turn to post on the a2zScrapbooking Supplies Blog and I'm featuring the Hero Arts Written in the Stars Stamp Set...Please stop in and say hello!

For my first card, I inked up the stars in sort of a rainbow order, then die cut the Thank You die to include some of the stars. I used the technique shared by Laura Bassen in This Video, and added Wink of Stella clear glitter brush to each of the large stars.

                       -------------------------------------------------------

For my 2nd card, I embossed and fussy cut the heart and added a touch of Wink of Stella clear glitter brush to the tiny circles and stars on the perimeter of the heart. I embossed the Kraft panel to add some texture, and Glossy Accents to the red hearts to give them a little shine. The dark blue background is stamped in a tone-on-tone blue ink, and everything is adhered to a Kraft card base.

                              --------------------------------------------
For my last card, I really wanted to use a non-traditional color combo. So, I stenciled the white panel with Soft Pool ink, and embossed the stars and sentiment with silver embossing powder. I also inked the wood veneer star with Hero Arts Silver Shadow ink, and added a cute little bow die cut with turquoise foil cardstock.

Well, that's it for me today. Don’t forget to link up your creation for the 'Stars and Stripes Linky Party' for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the A2Z Scrapbooking Store. And, anytime you're visiting the store, you are more than welcome to use Coupon Code BARB15 for 15% off your order of $25.00 or more (not including tax and shipping). And Barb is on a roll!! A roll of gorgeousness!! :) These are amazing!! Oh how I especially love that last one! That is so classy and elegant and so "oooooh"! I love the first one with the stars and how they are on the die cut sentiment too. I haven't tried that technique, but it sure is striking! The second one is so cute with the navy and kraft! Love them all! Hugs and happy weekend my friend! :)
